2016 Fulbright Enrichment Seminar

From November 30-Dec.3, Global Ties Alabama, along with the Institute of International Education (IIE), hosted 82 Fulbright Scholars from around the world for an Enrichment Seminar, apart of the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs. The theme for the seminar was “The New South: Visions, Voices and Change Agents.” The scholars had a chance to experience the old and new south, while touring downtown Montgomery and visiting Selma, AL. 2016 GTA Annual Meeting & Citizen Diplomacy Luncheon

This year, Global Ties Alabama hosted it’s Annual Meeting and Citizen Diplomacy Luncheon at the Redstone Federal Credit Union Atrium on October 25, 2016. The event was attended by 120 people from all over Alabama. The theme was “Trending: Building Global Relationship While Bringing the World to Alabama.” Many people were honored and recognized at this year’s event. Our YLAI fellows (Latin America & the Caribbean Entrepreneurs), Open World: Kazakstan and their mentors were our delegates recognized at the event. Interfaith Mission Service, Columbia High School, Chamber of Commerce for Huntsville/Madison, and many others were among the honorees. Rev.
